It was that time of the month again on Saturday, when our volunteers come together to get stuck into whatever tasks needed doing down in the Tawd Valley Park.
This volunteer event was all about having a good ol’ spring clean in a chosen section of the Valley. The areas covered for maintenance and clean-up where the Summer Street Children’s Area and the surrounding green spaces, before moving onto the Community Fruit Orchard and Meeting Place.
Some of our newly planted tree saplings had been vandalised as of late, so volunteers helped clear broken tree guards and canes, as well as picking up discarded litter as they went.
Volunteers managed to collect a good amount of rubbish in a short space of time. The areas are looking absolutely fantastic again. We can’t thank our volunteers enough for giving up their Saturday morning to help out.
