Over the last two years, Friends of Tawd Valley have been working with the Wild Trout Trust and their Trout in the Town project.

The WTT is a conservation charity working across the UK and Ireland to help anyone interested in making a better world for our rivers, lakes and their wildlife, including wild trout.

During the summer ’21, The Trout in the Town project visited the River Tawd to assess and provide help and advice on how we can improve the rivers water quality and wild habitats for the wildlife that call the Tawd home.

Working on the knowledge and advice we have been given, we are pleased to announce that FoTV have worked to becoming an officially accredited Bronze Level Chapter, and then continued on to achieving an officially accredited Silver Level Chapter of the Trout in the Town Project.

We look forward to our continued work with the Wild Trout Trust and the TinTT project in the future to bring out the best in the river Tawd and turn it into a haven that wild trout and all wildlife in the area deserve.
