Daily Dose of Valley Updates

The beginning of the brand new month of April saw a muddy morning’s work for the FoTV volunteers, as they constructed two dams out of logs and clay, sourced from the valley. The team also nurtured their green thumbs and gave new homes to the pond plants that Team Tawd collected the previous week. Well done everyone and thank you for all your hard work.

Good Friday saw some absolutely beautiful weather as Team Tawd and Ranger Chris put some finishing touches to the dams in the wetland scrape. They then set off to Cobbs Clough to collect a few more pond plants, before heading back to the scrape to plant them. Well done everyone and thanks to Pete and Alex for clearing a fallen tree by the bike track and picking litter up there too.

Easter Saturday also saw FoTV at Delph Clough as they removed litter and dumped items from a large section of the tributary. The Skelmersdale Cloughs play a vital role in providing protection and support to the Tawd Valley Park.

This update is only short and sweet, but you are now caught up with everything from Friends of Tawd Valley and the Tawd Valley Park.
