The Sun is Shining, The Weather is…

Time escapes us again, as we swiftly move into spring and march towards summer. So much has happened within the space of a couple of months, so lets not waste anymore time, and lets get down to business…

No introductions needed – Team Tawd and the WLBC Rangers have been doing what they do best on a Friday mornings, from litter-picking, bridge repairs, statue installations, flower bed planting and so much more. Check out some of the action below:

Next up and just as impressive, our volunteers have been hard at work cleaning around the valley too. Summer Street, BMX Bike Track and Community Fruit Orchard all look amazing after they came through and picked up after the lazy litter louts that plague our green spaces.

Recently, some of our committee members obtained their FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF). certificate. This course will help FoTV meet our requirements when running our volunteer days. The course covered a range of subjects including applying slings, tourniquets and bandages, CPR, defibrillator use, and how to respond to somebody in need of first aid. They were also taught how to identify potential heart attacks, strokes, seizures etc, and given real-world scenarios to respond to. CJ, our Youth Committee Representative commented “The course was fantastic, well put-together and delivered by Martin, a great instructor who ensured we all left with a strong understanding of first aid usage”.

Take at look at these beautiful creatures that have recently been installed down in the valley. An mighty otter and elegant kingfisher. What are you waiting for? Get yourself down to into the park and go look for them!

That’s your lot. Thank you for taking the time to discover what we and our volunteers have been up to in TVP lately. Check back soon for further goings on. From all us at FoTV, we hope you have a great Easter!
