Last Friday saw Team Tawd and Ranger Chris shift all the hay bales from Summer Street Wildflower Meadow, then they conducted a litter picking session. They also spotted what at first they thought was metal sculpture but it turned out to be a burnt out quad bike.
During the week, we were back at Dalton St Michael’s C.E. Primary School for another Trout in the Classroom session. We talked to the children about how brilliant they have been in recording the tank water checks/feeding, how the trout have settled in and what stage the fry are at in their life-cycle. We then played Animal Bingo with sweets as prizes. The children really enjoyed themselves. We’ll hopefully be back at the school next month.
Check back soon to keep right up-to-date on all things Friends of Tawd Valley.
